Rosada's interview with writersmanual.com

Here is Rosada's interview with writersmanual.com !!!

WM: Tell us a bit about yourself. What would you like us to know about you?
RH: Well besides writing I'm a full time caregiver to both my mom and dad. My mother had her leg amputated in 2004 and my dad has had heart problems for the last nine years. He just had a pacemaker put in.

WM: What are you doing now? (Career? Married? Single? Children? Pets?)
RH: Well I've been with my husband David since I was 15 we got married a year later and I had our son Owen in 2002. He's three now and very active I'm actually surprised I was able to write Through All Time, ha ha.
I have another book titled "The Hollywood Wife" which is ready for publication four historical novels and two fiction novels that I'm working on.

WM: What is your favourite food?
RH: Oh God, um I don't really think I have a favorite I guess anything that I don't have to cook!

WM: What is your favourite colour?
RH: Pink! I love pink I think it drives my husband a little nuts at times but I'm very easy to buy for as long as it's pink!

WM: What is your favourite sound?
RH: A child laughing when I hear my husband and son playing and Owen starts laughing it's just the most wonderful sound in the whole world.

WM:Who is your favourite person?
RH: Without a doubt my mother. My mom has had a hard life, she tried to make my life better than hers and in many many ways she succeeded. She has supported me through everything.

WM:What is your favourite place?
RH: As much as I say that I hate Indiana in the winter I really do love Indiana.

WM:What is your favourite memory?
RH: I don't think I have one favorite I only remember the good times in my life and try not to dwell on the bad.

WM: What is your favourite article of clothing?
RH: A white tee shirt a pair of jeans and my cowboy boots.

WM:What is your favourite word?
RH: Well I don't think I'd be allowed to put it on here LOL.

WM: What is your favourite writers' quote and why?
RH: Well it's not really a writers' quote but a wonderful woman by the name of Joanie Laurer aka Chyna from the WWE read it on air when her photos in Playboy came out.

Success demands the highest price of hard work self-discipline and eternal persistance.

I think that really sums up what a writer needs to do.

WM: What is your most favourite quality about yourself?
RH: My eyes and my smile.

WM:What is the least favourite quality about yourself?
RH: LOL let's not go there.

WM: If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
RH: California because it's a lot warmer than Indiana right now!

WM:What inspires you to write and why?
RH: Real human emotions. I want to write about the things that actually effect people.

WM: What is your favourite book and why?
RH: I only get one? Well it would have to be
Flowers in the Attic.
I began reading that a few days before I had my son. I really can't pick why it's my favorite it just is.

WM: What is your favourite genre and why?
RH: Well I got labled a romance writer with Through All Time but besides romance horror is my favorite. I think people like being scared I do anyway.

WM: List your three favourite authors (any genre) and why?
RH: V.C. Andrews --- I love the way her words flow.
Stephen King --- to me he is brillant!
Brian R. Smith --- Brian is a good friend of mine and you can just feel the emotions in his writing.

WM: What do you think makes a writer successful?
RH: I don't think I'm successful or unsuccessful but I think that I get into the real parts of life.

WM:What is it that makes you successful as a writer?
RH: That my female characters are heavyset. You don't see that in books and movies.

WM: What are your goals as a writer?
RH: To touch peoples' hearts and make them think.

WM: What is the best tip you can give to fellow writers?
RH: To never give up and to never let someone put you or your books down because of who your publisher is. I have never bought or read a book based on the publisher.

WM: What do you hope to provide your readers with through your writing?
RH: I know I've said this before but a look into what really goes on in life the happy and the not so happy.

WM: List your three favourite online writer-resource sites and why (include URLS).
RH: www.writersdigest.com
ebookscafe.writergazette.com/ because you guys help authors promote for free.

WM: If you have published a book, tell us about your publishing success (title, publishing date and company, where it is available to purcahse).
RH: Through All Time was published in September of 2005. It was published by Publish America and you can buy it from:
publishamerica.com
bn.com
booksamillion.com
amazon.com
you can also order it from any local bookstore.

WM: How long did it take you to write your book(s)?
RH: It took me a little less than a year to write Through All Time and several months to find a publisher.

WM: What would you do differently if you could repeat the same publishing experience?
RH: I don't think that there is anything I would do differntly.

WM: What have you learned about the publishing world?
RH: LOL a lot! I have learned that even with big presses if you want to make it you're gonna have to go out there and bust your butt to make it happen. I mean come on, take a singer for example they don't just cut an album and then sit back and expect it to sell without promoting it do they? Well the same goes for writers.

WM: This is your chance to 'Talk Back' to your readers. What would you like to say to them?
RH: I hope that you really enjoy my books and I hope that I have created an esacpe for you like so many authors did for me.

WM: What's the one thing that you want them to know about your writing?
RH: A lot of my writing is filled with truth. If you read between the lines you should be able to figure out who "Peter Davis" is based on but it won't be the first singer that comes to mind. But I cannot confirm or deny it because that is between the man and my mother.
