When Johnny Came Marching Home

1969 America: we are in the middle of a war, hundreds are dying everyday and everyday more and more boys are enlisting and being drafted. Most lived in an pretend shell, nothing from the war could harm them. It wouldn't be their husband/son/father/brother that's going to receive that draft notice. No not their family. That is how Kathy and Johnny believed and thought until one night their best friend receives his draft notice and then Johnny receives his. Told from the view point of Johnny's wife Kathy, it explains what it was like on the home front while husbands were off fighting. Always wondering when the next letter would come and always wondering if one would get that visit from the Army informing them that their loved one had been killed. It is also about a love that kept two people that were so far away from each other, so close together.

It only takes a few moments before Nahuel and Nancy are mesmerized with each other. After another meeting with the white men Chief Chogan relents and allows them only a little land. As time goes on will Nahuel and Nancy be able to overcome not only racial boundaries, such as will Nancy be accepted by the Indians and will Nahuel be accepted by the whites, but as the settlers grow greedier will it hinder their love for each other?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
